My radio with black rubber feet left black marks on my nightstand. The wood is like a light oak. (finished surface) I tried gently buffing with polish, but the stain is set in pretty good. Can you offer a solution for that?
It depends what the finish is on the surface. I would try lightly rubbing with 0000 (4-0) steel wool and lemon oil. This will probably work. As long as you use plenty of oil, and don't scrub very hard, the table's finish should be fine. Just be sure to test on an area that doesn't show first.
