When I turn on my bathroom faucet the pipes knock. What is that noise?
Topic :Aerator problem
One of the water taps in the bathroom makes a loud knocking noise when it is first turned on. When the tap is turned on harder the noise stops. No other water taps in the house have this problem. I have heard that the cause might be air in the pipes and that I can get rid of the problem by turning all the hot water taps in the house on at the same time to force the air bubble out. (This does not seem likely since only one tap is affected). What do you think?
I think you have a clogged aerator. Try removing it and turning on the water. If the noise goes away buy a new one and replace it. They are very difficult to clean thoroughly.
