Topic :Tub faucet problem

Plumbing Problem: I live on the second floor of a double house and I am having a problem with the water pressure in my shower. It seems that when I turn the knob for the hot water as far as it will go the water only drips out. Only the hot water seems to do this and only the shower is affected, every other faucet works fine. The cold water pipe has plenty of pressure, but the hot one just doesn't work. Can you help me shed some light on this problem.
The problem is most likely the shower faucet. Unless there's another valve somewhere else that's not open fully, I would say that the hot water stem needs to be rebuilt or replaced. If you are a renter simply call the landlord.

If the faucet is the old washer style it will need to be disassembled, cleaned, oiled and rebuilt. If it's a newer style one with cartridges or a ball valve then the cartridge or ball and assorted seals will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.
