Topic : I have a touch lamp that doesn't work. I have repaired regular lamps with switch but don't even know where to begin on one of these. I would appreciate a tip or two.
This is very common. The touch module is located in the base of the lamp. Usually it's a little black box. I found it is much easier and considerably cheaper to simply remove the touch control and rewire the lamp for a standard 3-way socket and bulb.

The touch controls are hard to find and really don't typically last more than a few years. A total rewire including a new 3-way socket should only cost about $6 if you're doing it yourself.

If you need further instructions, let me know. I'm trying to find a source for the modules. If you know of one let me know.
