I have brass hinges and handles on my kitchen cabinets. Do you have any tips on cleaning them. They tarnish quickly from hourly use. :) I once heard of using toothpaste to polish...is this okay?
Next time you clean them, use whatever you want...brass cleaner, toothpaste, etc. (toothpaste works great on silver, but has a tough time with brass). After you clean them, spray them with a clear acrylic or polyurethane coating. This will help keep them from tarnishing again and will make them easier to clean. I'd strongly suggest removing them from the cabinets to clean and spray them.
