Topic :Repairing a Well Waterline

I am single mom of three kids and a pipe from my well just split. I am the daughter of a contractor, and am familiar with tools and am generally handy. I was wondering if you could e mail me some general information on how to change a piece of copper pipe about 8 inches long. Thank you.
Repairing copper plumbing is easy yet difficult if you don't have the right tools. Please refer to http://www.household-helper.com/sweating2.html for instructions on sweating pipes.

At this point I should mention that it would be cheaper to call a plumber in for $30 than to buy even a portion of the stuff listed in the sweating instructions.

One last thing...there is an Epoxy available to take the place of solder. It's hard to find and I've had both good and bad experiences with it. Youmay want to try it, but I don't recommend it....especially with a main water line.
