Can you tell me how to remove the black candle soot from the glass portion of wall sconces???? I have tried everything but the combination of wax and black soot seems to win every time. Thanking you in advance.
Very hot soapy water should cut it pretty easily. To keep the soot mess to a minimum, try cutting the wicks to 1/4 inch before lighting, this makes the candles burn more efficiently. Soot is the by-product of incomplete combustion.
