We have inherited a home from my mother who was a heavy smoker. How can you remove tar stains from the wallpaper throughout her house?
3 years ago we did a project home with the exact same problem. We tried everything from TSP, to vinegar. The best we found was 409. It makes the gunk just drip off the walls. You can buy it at the grocery store. Just make sure you get the regular 409 in the white bottle, not the glass and surface cleaner. I'm sure you'll be happy with it.
