Topic :What does it take to install a shower stall?

I had a leaking shower stall; it was leaking from cracks near the drain. I believe that I have to replace the 2-piece shower stall; the floor of the shower moves a great deal and I believe that I will need to replace some or all parts. Do you know where I can get information either on the Web or not, where I can see what I might be getting myself into? Thanks.
I don't know of any specific resource for shower stalls on the web, and installation will vary drastically with brand. I can tell you that before you start you should have a good knowledge of plumbing and at least a basic knowledge of carpentry. The new stall will come with directions on how to install the unit, but most of the plumbing will be up to you to figure out. Just make sure the bottom is well supported on this one so you won't have the same problems as the last one.

This can be a DIY job if you take your time and follow the directions.
Part 2
I figured as much. Would having Lowe's replace my shower stall be an option? I don't want to spend an arm and a leg to get it repaired. What is your opinion on the chain store installation?
I really don't have an opinion of Lowe's, because there are none in my area. I know that Home Depot simply subcontracts to other companies and don't employ their own contractors.

Chain stores do have a good reputation of standing behind their contractor's work and correcting any problems which may occur. It will pay to do your homework and ask a lot of questions.
