Topic :Satellite dish problem Our satellite will not come back on. Recently we had a power outage and when the lights came on the satellite did not. What could this be from; the TV was plugged in to the same outlet and it works fine. Can this be fixed or should we just buy another receiver? Any help you provide would be helpful. Thank you for your time.
I have a Dish Network system and have had the same problem once before. It turned out to be a blown fuse inside...cost $4 to have repaired. You could probably fix it yourself, but I don't recommend it. One wrong move under the cover and the whole system is toast. Take it to a repair shop and have it done...even if it's $50, it beats paying $170 for a new system.
