| Rough the spots up with a metal rake, spread a little grass seed on top then cover with a 1/2 inch of top soil. Don't use any more fertilizer on the area until the grass is growing vigorously. Too much fertilizer will burn the tender new grass roots and actually keep the grass from growing there. |
