Topic :New Rope In A Recoil Housing
I have a Sears Craftsman self-propelled lawnmower. The starter cord broke and I've replaced it, but now the cord won't retract after pulling. |
| You need to wind up the spindle then install the rope while the spindle is still wound. To make it easier, ask someone to help you. They can hold the wound spindle while you thread and knot the rope. Don't wind more than 4-6 turns as the spring could break. Once you get the rope tied off, the spindle should draw the rope in when released. |
