Topic :Removing the pump from the motor
How do you go about replacing a pool pump motor. I do not see where the motor detaches from the rest of the pump. As only the motor needs replacing, I did not want to buy a whole new pump. |
On the back end of the motor there should be four small hex-head bolts. They go all the way through the motor into the pump housing. (about 8" long). If you remove those 4 bolts the pump housing should be free. The bolts will be in the "4 corners" of the motor.
FYI...I'm not sure if you know this, but I thought I should throw it in...You must remove the pump impeller before removing the housing from the motor. If you need more info I'll be here. I check email all the time. |
