Topic :Kill Switch Wire

I have just bought an old tiller with a 4 hp. Briggs & Stratton engine on it. It has a loose wire (about 18 gauge) coming from behind the flywheel. I assume it is one of the two wires from the points and condenser. I have read of a stop wire, a ground wire and a wire that goes towards the carburetor. I do not know what it is supposed to be attached to. The engine runs but I don't think the wire should be loose. Please tell me where it should it be attached?
It is most likely for the kill switch wire. It attaches at the front left of the motor by the throttle connection.
