I put too much oil in my mower. How can I get the extra out?

I put too much oil in my lawnmower. What’s the easiest way to get it out? I’m afraid of tipping it, I don’t want to damage the machine. This is my third question…you guys are the best!!!
It’s fine to tip it on its side enough to get the extra oil out. Just make sure the mower isn’t running. The mower may be difficult to start after doing it, and it may smoke for a few minutes. That’s normal.
