How do I remove hard water spots and stains on shower tiles? We have tried numerous cleaners, some made specifically for tile, but so far without success. Thanks!
Have you tried Lime-away or CLR? What about Comet and a green Scotch-Brite pad? Those are my first choice when I have to deal with tile. The Comet and the pad seems to work the best for me.
It is possible that what you think is hard water spotting is actually etching on the tiles. Older tiles are prone to etching from years of hard-acidic water. Etching looks cloudy too. There is nothing you can do to restore this problem.
