Topic : I have a skunk who is tearing up my lawn looking for the grub worms. What is the best natural source for getting rid of the grubs. I do not want to use any strong chemicals on the lawn as I have outside cats. Your advice will be appreciated.

Diatomaceous earth works on the crawlers such as slugs, snails, earwigs and non-flying beetles such as flea beetles. The grub (worm) stage of many pests including Japanese beetle, fungus gnats and root weevils get dried out and die from the DE.

You can buy DE at any pool store and use it in your lawn spreader just like you would any other lawn product.

There is also a product called Grub-X, which works very well. It is a pesticide, but dissipates very quickly in the soil. I have had better luck with the Grub-X than any other product.
