Topic :Grout Repair

I am going to repair a few spots of grout that have popped out and are wobbly in my kitchen and bathroom. I have scouted the local Home Depot and need some help on where to look on the web for simple instructions that don't come in a $25.00 book. Thank You.
For just a couple of small spots it's really easy! First thing you do is scrape out the junky grout.(a flat-head screwdriver works well). Next buy some grout...you can use the pre-mixed or the powder. The pre-mix works fine for repairs (provided the grout is white). The colored grout only comes in powder...mix the powder according to the directions. It should be the texture of toothpaste.

Put on some rubber gloves and dig a finger into the grout! Using your finger, fill the gap with a uniform layer of grout...a little more than the surrounding areas. Let the grout set for a couple of minutes, then take a SLIGHTLY DAMP sponge and gently wipe the areas until smooth and the grout is at the same level as the surrounding areas. Rinse the sponge as needed. If
you mess up, just scrape the grout out while it's still wet and try again...no big deal!

Let the grout sit overnight and wipe again with a clean sponge to eliminate the haze on the tiles.

That's all there is to it...really! Not rocket science.
