Topic :Gray Stains On Vinyl Flooring My off white vinyl floor has developed an ugly gray stain that can't be removed. At first I thought that I had dripped water and dishwater soap onto the floor. I was wearing sandals and the soles are dark grey. However, I can not remove this stain by using floor cleaner, bleach or ammonia. The stain appears to be spreading, but is lighter in color.Nothing is leaking and I am puzzled as to what to try next. Please help me?
Gray stains in vinyl flooring is a sure sign of a water leak. What it typically means is that water is seeping in from the underside of the vinyl since the top is sealed with a clear layer. You need to find the leak and fix it before the problem gets worse. There is no repairing the floor damage at this point.
