To get good results on the repair, I would tell you to call in a pro. Fixing furniture like you want to do takes lots of special tools and know-how to do correctly. Finishing the repairs to match the original is VERY difficult and takes hundreds of hours of training to do.
If you just want a quick repair and don't really care how it looks, buy a can of Durham's Rock Hard Water Putty (available almost everywhere) and fill the areas. Sand them smooth and finish just like you would with regular wood. This will work, but you won't get terrific looking repairs. |
