Topic :Brad nail drivers

I'm trying to repair a special mobile home drywall panel that is 3/8" vinyl wrapped drywall. The manufacturer has used a 1 1/4" brad nailer to install all the walls in the house. I'm trying to find where I can buy a brad nail gun that can feed in 1 1/4" brad nails and is also electric or spring loaded. My local hardware stores only sell the kind that require a compressor. I'd like to find the least expensive, yet durable brand of brad nail gun that is portable and independent of a compressor, either electric or spring loaded. Can you recommend a store or web site that sells this and possibly other mobile home supplies?
There are really no good products on the market for driving brads without a compressor. A brad gun for the compressor runs about $49. Maybe you could borrow a compressor from someone. I think I remember seeing either a Swingline or Arrow electric staple gun that had a brad attachment that could be added on. However, I believe that it had a length limit of 1" brads. Electric guns tend to be pretty weak when it comes to driving anything over
3/8".

Have you considered a tool rental store? you could probably rent an air nailer and a compressor for about $30 a day. That would be the way to go if you "really" need to have a brad nailer that works well.

As for the supply sites on the internet, I would just go to Yahoo or another search engine and search for it. I don't have any particular one that pops to mind.
