Topic : I am a new homeowner. My house was built in 1921 and I want to put a
dryer in the basement. Problem is the dryer has a 220 volt plug. Can you
e-mail some info on how I can wire a 220 outlet? By the way, there is a
fuse box as well. The house has it's original wiring. |
| Call an electrician! It may not even be possible to add a 220 to an ancient service like yours. It's probably too loaded already. If the electrician thinks it's possible, it will mean a sub-panel will need to be installed. This is way beyond home repair for beginners or even some professionals for that matter. |
